The kids one mile race.

This was Cooper's face when he came toward the finish line.
He wasn't looking anywhere else but straight.
It was so funny how determined he was to get there as fast
as his little legs could carry him.

This is Rustin. Cooper and Elijah had already come through
and most of the other kids, so we were waiting for Rustin.
Brooke went back to look for him and found Rustin on the
side of the road kicking rocks, just pokin' around. Brooke
said Rustin's leg was hurting so Brooke carried him most of
the way until Rustin saw the finish line and decided to finish
strong, so here he is bustin' a move.

Elijah did awesome, running straight one mile is not an easy
thing for a kid to do. Later that day all 3 kids got sick, we
think they got a little heat stroke. As kids always do, they
bounced back the next day.
I'll spare you any pictures, Ginger and I did the Goose Creek
Run-off and did 6.3 miles in 51 minutes. Needless to say, I
was a little sore the next week. Ginger is awesome!
