That phrase was heard about every five minutes of every hour! So I didn't get to the car DVD player fast enough, the movers beat me to it and had it all packed away. Brooke turned to me and said, "Uh, what are we going to do....". Me being the mean mom said they can do other stuff like look at books, play with toys and do what kids naturally do...fight the whole way there things we did when we were young. I didn't care as long as they were strapped in, they may not have been as happy but they can learn how to deal, so nice I know. The next day Brooke couldn't handle it and stopped at the store to buy the....Ahhhh....DS (mom and dad, that's just a portable game system). You would have thought the heavens opened when the boys saw the white little box with a blue rectangle on it. So Brooke got his way and as you can see the boys were in heaven, we only bought one DS and 3 games so we had them on a 30 minute rotation system, so at least their brains got somewhat of a break. Can you guess what the twins now want for Christmas.... the DSI go figure. So our trip consisted of some of the DS (we did put it away for part of the day) and random costumes that, you know who insisted on wearing the whole way there. That made potty breaks a little tricky. Lots of beef jerky oh and lots of peeing on the side of the road, it's just a little unavoidable with 5 boys in the family. We did stop in Omaha for Ryan's wedding, so we did take a little detour on the way to Louisiana. Overall our boys are great little travelers. Hopefully these are the moments my kids will remember later on down the road. Loved it and now I am glad that we won't have to make that trip back in the Yukon. Airplanes sound better and better by the day (I just feel bad for the people that will have to share the plane with us). Oh the joys of having a big family.
